In terms of POSI (The Information Society Operational Programme),
the bodies sponsoring the Aveiro Digital Programme 2003-2006 are the
Aveiro Digital Association and the Association of Ria
Municipalities. These have drawn up a protocol for this purpose.
The Executive Committee, made up of the administrators of both the
Aveiro Digital Association and the Association of Ria
Municipalities, is responsible for the overall coordination,
presentation and strategic management of this programme as well as
for the methodological and operational oversight of those projects
belonging to Intervention Area 1: The Digital Community.
Financial and operational coordination of the Programme is the
responsibility of a coordinating body which relies on a small number
of highly qualified and experienced staff.
